2019 SMART REU Closing Symposium

This summer, the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering's NSF grant funded SMART REU Program has teamed undergraduate students from thirteen universities across eleven states with faculty and graduate student mentors from four Tulane School of Science and Engineering departments (Biomedical Engineering, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Chemistry, and Physics and Engineering Physics) to participate in groundbreaking research projects. On Friday, August 2nd, 2019, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, REU student participants will present their exciting summer research projects on the third floor of Boggs Center at the 2019 SMART REU Closing Symposium. Students who are interested in a career in STEM are invited to join us in Boggs 104 at 9:15 AM for a keynote speech by University of Minnesota President Emeritus Eric Kaler on forging a career in STEM, with a poster session to follow on the third floor of Boggs beginning at 10:30 AM.
