The Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA) Region IX Directors are excited to welcome you to the first annual 2020 Region IX Conference. This year’s theme, “Culturally Responsive Care: Breaking Down Barriers in Healthcare” explores the ways in which we take care of people who are different from us—who may speak different languages, practice different religions, eat different foods—and how we might break down these barriers and meet at the heart of healthcare. As Asian American and Pacific Islanders, we are united by our shared yet diverse immigrant & refugee histories. Join us to see how we can incorporate our own diverse experiences to meet the needs of the even more vibrantly diverse communities surrounding us!
