2023 Annual Bike Roundup

Uptown Campus
Tulane University - Main Campus

Annually, following Commencement, members of the Tulane University Police Department
remove bicycles locked to fixed objects (bicycle racks, handrails, trees, etc.).
Abandoned bicycles take up valuable space on campus bicycle racks for the upcoming summer
programs and make the university a target for potential incidents of theft. This year, bicycle
removal will occur May 27, 28 between the hours of 8 pm. and 4am.,so as to not interfere with
those who commute by bicycle during regular business hours. Faculty, staff, and students should
not allow their bicycles to remain on campus overnight during this date range. If a bicycle must
be left on campus overnight, please tag the bicycle as being in use by placing a yellow tag on the
handlebars. The tags can be picked up in the TUPD Office of Diboll. If your bicycle is collected
by mistake, contact the Tulane University Police Department at
property@tulane.edu in order to
schedule an appointment to have your bicycle released.
