Since the first Institute in 1951, the Tulane Tax Institute has presented a forum for attorneys, CPAs and estate planners to hear nationally recognized tax and estate planning legal practitioners, law professors and accountants present in-depth reviews of recent tax statutes, regulations and decisions, learn practical tax and estate planning tips and discuss the current issues impacting their practice. This three-day program includes a special luncheon and extensive course materials. Topics this year include: recent developments in taxation of corporations, shareholders, individuals, partnerships, estates, and gifts; virtual/hybrid/remote work issues; Section 1031; remediating busted S corporations; stretch IRAs and charitable remainder trusts; and clients with diminished capacity; among others. There are also sessions devoted to ethics and professionalism.
