Read > Lead > Achieve^® is Pi Beta Phi’s philanthropic effort, which inspires a lifelong love of reading that can unlock true potential, creating a more literate and productive society.  We believe in the power of reading. We believe reading always has been — and always will be — a powerful step toward a life of enduring impact. We believe that when one out of four children grows up unable to read, that’s one child too many. For more than a century, we’ve committed ourselves to create a more literate and productive society. 

Nationally, Pi Beta Phi hosts a volleyball tournament. This year LA Alpha will participate in the national event and will be inclusive to all Tulane students who are interested in participating and raising money for our philanthropy. This event was unable to take place last year due to Covid-19 Restrictions but will return to Tulane this academic semester. Teams of 6  will participate in volleyball rounds on the Zimple quad. In addition to playing volleyball, there will be alternative opportunities to raise funds for our philanthropy including food distribution, selling of t-shirts, and book donations.
