OtherBiomedical Research Awareness Day (BRAD) is a day to honor, raise awareness of, and pledge support for animals needed for biomedical research. The purpose of this event is to educate people about the vital role animals play in the development of new treatments and cures for people and animals, highlight careers in biomedical research, and promote support for the compassionate care of animals needed for research.
Tulane National Primate Research Center (TNPRC) will be hosting a BRAD event for select students from two local highschools this year. Activities will include booths with information about biomedical research, interactive games, faculty presentations, and a short tour of our north campus. Lunch will be served. Participating students can pledge their support for biomedical research by signing our BRAD banner. This event is by invitation only and is closed to the public.
BRAD is an initiative of Americans for Medical Progress (AMP).
