On Wednesday September 2nd from 2:30-4PM gather with CPS staff and civically minded New Orleans leaders who are committed to improving the quality of life for everyone in our communities through academic public service partnerships. This convening will include: * the opportunity to network with organizational representatives, CPS staff, students, and faculty * a group guided meditation to bring awareness to and focus intention on our community’s diverse history, identities, cultures and faiths  * sharing resources and tips related to CPS programs and virtual tools used to support community engagement including  *  small group discussions about what CPS and our partners are doing, asking for and offering support to one another, and envisioning what we can do collectively to improve and advance:

Education: language learning, science and technology, and college prep

Health: crisis, food, social services, recreation, art, homekeeping, HIV, babies in NICU, aspartylglucosaminuria

Housing and homelessness: affordable rentals and homeownership, residential facilities

Environment: food production, energy, coastal restoration, climate change

Enterprise: local, sustainable, cultural, marketing
