Climate Solutions for Louisiana

Online

2021 is an especially important year to discuss climate solutions in Louisiana, as the Governor’s Climate Initiatives Task Force is at work now identifying actions that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and create opportunity in our state. Our speakers will each suggest an important action of interest to Louisiana students.

The speakers will be Lindsay Cooper, Policy Advisor, Governor’s Office of Coastal Activities; Terrence L. Chambers, Donald & Janice Mosing BORSF Endowed Chair in Mechanical Engineering and Director, Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Energy Center, University of Louisiana at Lafayette; and Satish Bastola, Assistant Professor and Graduate Coordinator (Civil and Environmental Engineering), University of New Orleans. This webinar will be an opportunity to learn more about the Governor’s Climate Initiatives Task Force and solutions to climate change specific to Louisiana.

This webinar is part of the international Solve Climate by 2030 educational initiative. In every state and many international locations, over 100 university-hosted webinars are planned as part of Solve Climate by 2030.
