CPS Speakers Series - Noise Pollution and Abortion Care in New Orleans

Guest Speaker: Dr. Eva Silvestre, Associate Professor at Tulane’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and Program Director of the International Health and Development MPH Program

Dr. Silvestre will share findings from this study, which was conducted in collaboration with the New Orleans Abortion Fund and examined the levels of noise pollution created by anti-choice protestors in and around the sole abortion clinic in New Orleans. A neighborhood survey was also conducted to determine how the noise was also affecting neighbors of the clinic.
