Don’t miss CrescentCare’s 2nd Annual Black Health Summit! Saturday, February 15th 10am at CrescentCare 1631 Elysian Fields Ave. Join CrescentCare in commemorating Black History Month with our annual Black Health Summit. This year’s theme: A Letter to Black Women! It will feature Workshops, educational panels, a free community resource fair, free screenings, food, clothing, live performances, and an overall good time!
This year, the Society will be volunteering in partnership with NOLA Collegiate Public Health as a resource table for attending youth! We will be acting as 'navigators' or 'tour guides' for the fair. Providing a short assessment of individual needs based on attendee's health status (ie when was the last time you've had a dental check up?) and escorting attendees to the available resources at the fair!
We are seeking 6-10 volunteers for this event to work in shifts! We will work to provide transportation based on the number of participants.
