This workshop is designed for faculty, staff, and graduate & professional students who are committed to creating supportive and thriving research environments. We’ll explore best practices for building a culture of support, success, and mentorship, focusing on how to put Tulane’s core value of a welcoming community into action. Through this session, you'll gain practical strategies for fostering a collaborative space where everyone feels valued and empowered to achieve their full potential.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

1. Implement strategies that actively promote a welcoming and supportive community within your research team.

2. Apply effective mentorship practices to help colleagues and students reach their professional and scholarly goals.

3. Identify and address barriers to a positive research culture, ensuring all members have the opportunity to succeed.
