Custom VRChat Avatar Workshop

Are you interested in or curious about how to create your own avatar in VRChat? Join us for this workshop where we’ll go through what VRChat is, what an avatar is, how to rig your avatar, and how to make your own with the Unity game engine.

If you would like to participate, you’ll need a Windows computer and to download the compatible version of Unity. Once you have that installed, you’ll also need to download and install the VRChat Creator Companion, and use a rigging tool like AccuRIG or the online tool Mixamo if you don;t have a rigged character. To upload to your VRChat account, it must be at a trust rank of "New User" or higher. After all of that is configured, it’s super easy!

If you don’t have a compatible computer, you can bring in your own 3D model avatar and we can try to get it working! It’s recommended that you rig it in a t-pose with a tool like AccuRIG or Mixamo first, but we should have enough time to do it at the workshop.
