The Anthropology Department participation in Body Respect Week; Deep Listening, developed by late composer Pauline Oliveros in the 1970s, "explores the difference between the involuntary nature of hearing and the conscious nature of listening." This session will engage with several embodiment practices that focus on the dialogue between body and space, with an emphasis on autonomy and agency. Open to all.
