The 2nd Annual Design Showcase + Fashion Show is a pop-up exhibition featuring the work of over 100 students enrolled in 8 Design studio courses at the Tulane School of Architecture. This event highlights the work our undergraduate students who are learning to use the power of Design to change the world for the better.

The Design studio curriculum prepares students to address, analyze, and develop creative solutions to problems with real and urgent implications for the real world. The major is designed to accommodate students pursuing multiple majors and minors, embodying Tulane’s vision for a dynamic liberal arts education. The work they do in their courses beyond our own curriculum adds context and motivation to inform their design work in exciting ways. The Design Showcase + Fashion Show is their annual opportunity to share with the broader community their efforts to learn about, engage with, and improve the world around them through Design.

The one-night event is free and open to the public, with food, a cash bar, and music. Featured projects include topics such as sustainable textile innovation, non-profit organization branding, innovative multi-purpose furniture, nature-inspired light sculptures, and streetcar shelter designs that foster community engagement.

Doors open for a cocktail and mingle hour at 6pm. The runway show will start at 7pm, followed by time to meet our student Designers and explore the displayed work until 9pm.
