Don't Blame it on the Alcohol – Mocktails, Consent, and Conversations is an opportunity for the Tulane campus community to discuss the role that intoxication plays in sexual interactions, specifically on college campuses. Attendees will be encouraged to create and partake in a variety of alcohol-free mock cocktails or “mocktails” and engage in a conversation about sex, consent, and accountability
Learning objectives:
- Provide statistics and other relevant information to participants about alcohol-influenced behaviors on college campuses including Tulane University.
- Foster critical thinking among participants about the dangers of alcohol consumption and reduce multiple types of harm with an emphasis on sexual harm.
- Promote positive alternatives to drinking, encourage bystander intervention, and provide materials and resources to participants to combat alcohol-induced harm.
