It Takes Two to Tango: New Insights into Liver Disease Progression

Dr. Jamie Wise is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology in the School of Medicine at the University of Louisville as well as a Jewish Heritage Fund for Excellence Scholar. Dr. Wise’s research program is centered around environmental health, discovering new insights into how environmental toxicant affect health and cause environmental liver disease and liver cancer, including understating the roles of age and sex differences in disease etiology. Research in her laboratory spans molecular, cellular, animal and population-based studies and incorporates community-engagement and citizen-science approaches.
