This workshop is geared toward individuals in F/J immigration status who were present in 2021, were non-resident aliens, and did not receive income in 2021. Form 8843 is not an income tax return. Form 8843 is merely an information statement required by the U.S. government for certain non-resident aliens, including the spouses or dependents of non-resident aliens. The purpose of this workshop is to provide general guidance to international students and scholars on the process of filing Form 8843.
