Bio: ELIZABETH BRONWYN BOYD is an independent scholar who lives in Takoma Park, Maryland. A native Mississippian, she holds an M.A. in Southern Studies from The University of Mississippi, and a Ph.D. in American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. She is the author of Southern Beauty: Race, Ritual, and Memory in the Modern South (University of Georgia Press, 2022).
