Franziska, a Louisiana native, graduated with honors from Tulane University with her degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. During her time at Tulane, she directed Hers, Theirs, Ours, conducted research on gene editing, spent a year as a resident advisor, and ultimately founded Glass Half Full, Louisiana's first glass recycling facility. Within the organization, Franziska manages the social media platforms (which have amassed over 250,000 followers), oversees the free drop-off service, manages day-to-day operations, and handles communications. Since its founding in 2020, Glass Half Full's work has been recognized by The Mike Rowe Foundation, NowThis, BuzzFeed, Good Morning America, Corona Beer, The Guardian, The Gambit, and so many more!
