Uptown CampusLyric coloratura soprano Lisette Oropesa made her Netropolitan Opera debut at age 22 as Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) and has since sung over 100 performances at the Net. A specialist of the bel canto repertoire, she has built an internationally renowned career that includes appearances at San Francisco Opera, Opera National de Paris, Teatro Real, and Covent Garden, as well as oratorio, recital, and concert performances. Notable roles include Gilda (Rigoletto), Lucia di Lammermoor, and Konstanze (Abduction from the Seraglio). Lisette is a New Orleans native, LSU graduate, Net Opera National Council Audition winner, and the 2019 winner of the Richard Tucker award-one of the most prestigious prizes in opera.
