Welcome back to the Poulenc Trio and Alex Fiterstein! Joined by clarinetist Alex Fiterstein, the trio consisting of oboe, bassoon, and piano brings a varied program to open our season. With their strong commitment to commissioning, performing, and recording new works they are greatly expanding the repertoire for this combination of instruments. They also explore and perform music reflecting the members' African, Asian, Eastern European and Jewish roots in concerts around the world. Alex Fiterstein joins the trio in the premiere of a newly-composed work by highly praised composer Viet Cuong.
