Global Scholars Presents David Roston

Join us Thursday October 19th at 12pm in Rm. 1201 to welcome our speaker David Roston.

David Roston is the founder and executive director of Gigantic Fantastic Productions and co-founder and producer of NoiseFilter. As a multifaceted artist with a background in filmmaking and public health communications, David explores innovative ways to tell stories for the betterment of society. Born and raised in Los Angeles, David received a Bachelor of Arts in Screen Arts & Cultures from the University of Michigan and a Masters in Public Health degree from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. David has won various awards for his public health and culturally focused films and animations. Throughout his life, David has pursued passions for music and puppetry and fuses these art forms in his work. David is also a board member of 102.3 FM WHIV, a community radio station in New Orleans dedicated to human rights and social justice.
