Group Volunteer: The Green Project
Get ready to roll up your sleeves and make a tangible impact on New Orleans' sustainability! We are excited to partner with The Green Project for a group service day dedicated to environmental stewardship and creative reuse.
Since 1994, The Green Project has been a local staple in diverting usable materials from landfills and providing affordable building supplies to our community. This is our chance to step behind the scenes of their warehouse and paint recycling center to help keep New Orleans green and growing.
Event Details
-
What We’ll Be Doing: Tasks vary based on the organization's needs but often include de-nailing lumber, organizing the warehouse, processing donated goods, or assisting in the "paint lab."
-
The Impact: Every hour we spend on-site helps lower the carbon footprint of our city and ensures that home improvement remains accessible to all New Orleanians.
-
What to Wear: For your safety, closed-toe shoes are mandatory. We recommend comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little dusty or paint-splattered.
"Our mission is to promote creative reuse and environmental sustainability through education and social enterprise." — The Green Project
