Featuring Summer Lyric Theatre

July 15-July 25 Thursday-Saturday at 7:30pm Sunday at 2:00pm

Without the backing for a stage production, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice produced the song “Superstar” and subsequently a concept album for their project about the last seven days of Jesus Christ’s life. Due to the international popularity of the record, a Broadway production was mounted and Jesus Christ Superstar, the first iconic rock opera, was born! In celebration of the show's 50th anniversary, Summer Lyric is thrilled to bring Jesus Christ Superstar to the Dixon Hall stage. With such memorable songs as “I Don’t Know How to Love Him,” “Heaven on Their Minds,” “Gethsemane,” and, of course, “Superstar,” Jesus Christ Superstar is sure to remind us all of the power of live theatre.
