Made of Smokeless Fire

Uptown Campus
Newcomb Hall, 3rd floor

“Feu Sans Fumée” (Made Of Smokeless Fire) is an exploration of LGBTQIA+ identities within Muslim culture in France. This project is an homage to my uncle Farid who passed away in 2013. Without the ability to speak with him, I turned towards other people carrying these plural identities, often underrepresented and misunderstood.

- Camille F Lenain

Photographer Camille Farrah Lenain will be exhibiting her work beginning on Monday, April 24th at 7pm through May 19th in the third-floor hallway of Newcomb Hall. All are welcome to come by to view the exhibition during working hours. The exhibit will open Monday, April 24th at 7pm following MENA's event featuring Abdellah Taia's "Salvation Army" film screening and Q&A.
