The Dennis A. Georges Lecture in Hellenic Culture
The Department of Classical Studies at Tulane University presents “‘Greek Lives’ How to write a biography of an ancient Greek (or Roman)” by Mary Beard (University of Cambridge).
Date ~ Wednesday, April 23, 2025
Time ~ 6:30PM
Location ~ Freeman Auditorium AT-205
This lecture will explore how we write biographies of people about whom we have so little evidence. And it will wonder how different ancient human beings are from us — and what difference that makes to how we write their lives.
This in-person, non-ticketed lecture is free and open to the public. There will be no zoom component. Tulane University is committed to providing universal access to all our events on site.
