Join us for an immersive exploration into the theme of Victorian Mourning. This annual event offers a rich tapestry of experiences, including a Trick or Treat through Newcomb Institute (Suite 301) from 11 AM to Noon, entire collection of tarot decks set out for exploration in the Reading Room, each paired with suggested spreads. Delve into our archives display featuring thought-provoking materials, from feminist reflections to witchy books and eerie art pieces. A special highlight will be a guest talk by Dr. Krystal Cleary titled, “Some Decks May Be Stacked Against Us but This Deck Is Ours: Justice-Centered Tarot in and Against the New Age,” at 12:30 PM which explores justice-centered tarot through an intersectional feminist lens. DIY Oracle card-making, tarot show-and-tell stations, and a playlist to set the mood, this salon promises a blend of historical reflection, creative engagement, and mystical fun. Questions?
