The Tulane Technology Transfer office sponsors an annual technology development challenge open to all Tulane students called the Novel Tech Challenge. The Novel Tech Challenge (NTC) is an academic year-long and completely extra-curricular program that seeks teams of Tulane students to develop a product or technology solution to solve an existing societal problem or unmet need of their choosing. Accepted teams will be provided prototyping funds, educational seminars, access to faculty advisors, and dedicated team mentors to help you on your product development journey. Student teams are eligible for over $17,000 in prizes at a finals event in April. Teams will also receive valuable feedback from active Venture Capitalists and other members of industry at this event.
We are hosting a kickoff information session for the Challenge on Friday, October 1st from 4pm-5pm central time over Zoom (info below). We’d like to invite all interested students to attend and learn more about how to apply and how to be successful during the Challenge and to connect with other likeminded students.
Please RSVP at the below Eventbrite link for the kickoff event, we look forward to seeing you then!
Applications for the Challenge are due by midnight central time on October 8th and can be found on our WaveSync organization page.
