Open Access Initiatives from/about Latin America

This workshop introduces participants to the major open-access platforms from and about Latin America. We will discuss briefly how Latin America has contributed to the development of Open Access as a global movement in the last two decades and explore pioneering projects such as SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), the Digital Repository of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO), The Latin American Network for Open Science (LA Referencia), AmeliCA Open Knowledge, Redalyc, AURA, the Latin America Research Commons (LARC), and the Latin Americanist Research Libraries Partnership (LARRP).
