This workshop is intended for students to explore the concept of cultural humility in the context of community engagement. Student will have an opportunity to reflect on their own cultural values and narratives, and explore ways to communicate and collaborate across difference in an open, respectful and horizontal way.

• Participants will learn about and engage in dialogue around culture and the concept of cultural humility.

• Participants will have an opportunity to explore their own cultural lenses and the examine the way their values, practices and beliefs might inform how they see and interact with the world around them.

• Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on the importance of cultural humility in community engagement, including the role of  self-awareness, critical analysis of systemic oppression and the need for continuous learning.
