OSA Pre-Departure Orientation: Living Like a Local + Health and Safety Abroad

All Fall 2024 and Academic Year 2024-2025 students going through the NTC Office of Study Abroad must attend one Pre-Departure date of their choice. Each session date will contain two different presentation topics that will prepare you to study abroad. You may choose which session to attend based on your interests or availability, but you must stay for both presentations that day. You may also attend multiple dates for extra preparation, but this is not required. The full calendar is below for your reference:

-Feb 29 – Equity Thursday (Lunch Provided) Intersectional Identities + Design Your Study Abroad [Center for Academic Equity Richardson 115] 12:30-2:30pm

-March 4 – Visa Tips + Health and Safety Abroad [McAlister Auditorium] 5:30-7:30pm

-March 11 – Design Your Study Abroad + Careers and Internships Abroad [McAlister Auditorium] 5:30-7:30pm 

-April 2 – Living Like a Local + Health and Safety Abroad [McAlister Auditorium] 5:30-7:30pm 

-April 15 – Street Harassment and Gender in a Global Context + Living Like a Local [McAlister Auditorium] 5:30-7:30pm
