Peace Corps Prep Info Table

Stop by Pocket Park on Tuesday, August 20 or Wednesday, August 21 from 10am-2pm to learn about the Peace Corps Prep certificate program for undergraduate students.
Peace Corps Prep still has seats available in its Fall 2024 orientation course, CRDV 1090-01: Majors, Internships & Jobs. We are looking for a few more students (sophomores, juniors, seniors) who are interested in exploring careers in international service and diplomacy. Peace Corps Prep is a professional development and career exploration certificate program that combines coursework with hands-on experience, exposure to a range of guest speakers, and special events with Returned Peace Corps Volunteers.
The CRDV class meets Thursdays 2:00-3:15pm in the Fall 2024 semester. CRDV 1090 is the only required class for Peace Corps Prep, and is only taught in the Fall semester.
To take the CRDV course students must apply to the Peace Corps Prep certificate program. The application will close August 28, 2024. Apply here:

Public Health
International Development
Political Science & International Relations
Anthropology
Sociology
Peace Corps Prep prepares undergraduate students for international service by developing four core competencies critical to intercultural fieldwork:
- Professional & Leadership Development
- Intercultural Competence
- Foreign Language Proficiency
- Training and Experience in a specific work sector (Education, Health, Environment, Agriculture, Youth in Development, or Community Economic Development)
Upon completion of the 3-year program, students will receive a certificate from the Peace Corps. There is no obligation for Peace Corps Prep graduates to apply for Peace Corps service; however, students who have earned the Peace Corps Prep certificate will have a competitive edge if they choose to apply.
International students are encouraged to apply! Peace Corps Prep is open to undergraduate students of all nationalities.
