May 05, 2023 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Uptown CampusThe Murphy Institute and the Institute for Corruption Studies host the fourth Political Economy of Corruption conference on May 5th and 6th, 2023. The conference will bring together a global, interdisciplinary network of scholars across social science and law in order to foster collaboration on corruption research. Scholars will present papers on corruption and growth; measuring corruption; the relationship between corruption, income inequality, and poverty; corruption and racial inequities; corruption and environmental degradation; voter participation and corruption; and more. Presented papers will feature in a special issue of Southern Economic Journal. While this will be a small, roundtable-style conference, we invite local scholars to participate in the days' events.
