Uptown CampusPlease join Africana Studies for the first Black Studies Book Club meeting, featuring Rinaldo Walcott in discussion of his book The Long Emancipation: Moving Toward Black Freedom, on Thursday October 21st at 4 pm in Room 202 of the Lavin Bernick Center. This is part of a new ongoing series sponsored by Africana Studies, which features scholars whose recent publications have shifted the conversation in our field. Food will be provided.

A copy of Walcott's book is available for all registered participants. Please bring your confirmation email to the Africana Studies office (300F Hebert Hall) to retrieve a copy. All attendees must provide Tulane ID, proof of vaccination, or a COVID negative PCR test within 72 hours of the event.
