Being a first-generation student means you are the first in your family to attend college, typically defined as having parents who did not complete a four-year college degree. This milestone represents a significant and proud achievement, opening a new path and inspiring future generations.
We invite everyone to celebrate First Generation Day with us by enjoying donuts in the morning and snacks later on in the 12th floor student lounges on November 5th, since the official day, November 8th, falls on the weekend.
Come take a treat, connect with fellow students, and honor the courage and achievements of first-generation students in our community. Your story matters, and this is a day to celebrate you!
