Scholarships for the LGBTQ+ and Ally Students illustration

Students are invited to a conversation with staff from the NTC Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships and the Director of Scholar Recruitment and Selection at the Point Foundation as they discuss the opportunities for study and internship funding.

FLAGSHIP SCHOLARSHIPS: empower LGBTQ+ and ally students who are earning their undergraduate, graduate, & doctoral degrees at accredited colleges in the United States by offering financial support, community resources, and professional development. Funding based on student need — the average annual scholarship amount is $10,000.

ACCESS SCHOLARSHIPS: intended to increase college access for first generation and/or low-income students. It is a one-time award of $1,500 that can be earned up to four times.

INTERNSHIP AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AWARDS: designed to support students' participation in summertime hands-on learning experiences that enhance academic and career success, with amounts up to $5,000.

KADEL & GERHARDT INTERNSHIP AWARDS: Point seeks to increase the number of culturally competent, affordable providers working with the LGBTQ+ community of HIV-positive and high-risk individuals by funding summer internships for academically talented scholars who are apply for unpaid experiences in fields related to HIV/AIDS research, advocacy, and/or services, with amounts up to $7000.
