The Skin You're In: Coronavirus and Black America

Online

Join us for a special screening of the documentary film, The Skin You're In, with Thomas LaVeist, Dean, School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, and Weatherhead Presidential Chair in Health Equity followed by a discussion with Dean LaVeist, Tevon Robinson, and Tyraq Bryant, moderated by Anneliese Singh, Tulane's Chief Diversity Officer.

Black Americans live sicker and die younger than any other ethnic group in the nation. Why is this happening? The reasons are complex and rooted in racism. The Skin You’re In investigates this disturbing phenomenon from its various angles. We identify the problem, explain the causes and offer real solutions.
