Under the Oaks Ceremony

Under the Oaks is a recognition and awards ceremony hosted by Newcomb Institute during commencement week. Historically, Under the Oaks was the commencement ceremony for Newcomb College. Today, the institute keeps this tradition alive by honoring student and faculty award recipients, Newcomb Scholars, Mortar Board members, and Oak Wreath recipients, as well as our graduating student leaders, student employees, grant recipients, and Residential Learning Community residents. Newcomb Institute also honors Newcomb College tradition by hosting the 50th Reunion for graduates of Newcomb College and recognizes the current 50-year class during the Under the Oaks ceremony.
