The 2021 Tulane Vocal Arts Festival is open to all student and professional singers and pianists. Finalized schedule TBA

Any Adult Singer over 21 years of age may apply for the Festival Singers Concert Saturday, October 23, 2021.

There is no age limit for those participating.

Our goal is to encourage the further study and excellence in classical singing, which plays a vital role in the shaping of vocal performers. The festival brings together world-renowned artists/teachers in the field of classical music to present master classes and workshops for students, singers, teachers of voice, voice professionals, and those who simply love the human voice!

Registration is free and includes three days of professional development, concerts and master classes.
Participants will perform in and/or observe master classes and workshops taught by an experienced panel of faculty artists of the highest caliber. Master Classes and guest artist faculty concert performances are open to the public. A final free concert of adult festival singers, open to the public, will be held as a special treat for all involved!

Thursday, October 21, 2021 Festival Opening Concert and Master Class

Friday, October 22, 2021 (Faculty and Guest Artist Recitals and Presentations)

1:30-2:30 Welcome - Coffee and Conversation Break 

2:30PM – 3:45PM Faculty Artist Presentation: Leonard Raybon, baritone, Amy Pfrimmer, soprano, and Aigerim Magavina, piano: "Sacred Nine Project: Sing Me, Sing Me Not or, Considerations for White Singers Who Want to Perform Spirituals," followed by Q&A. 

4:00PM – 5:00PM Guest Artist Recital: Jeffrey Springer, tenor and Jesse Reeks, piano 

5:15PM – 6:15PM Festival Reception 

6:30PM – 7:30PM Guest Artist Presentation: Alta Boover, mezzo soprano and Dr. Sia Lee, recorded piano accompaniment
“Bon Appétit” a one act opera by Lee Hoiby.
Pre-opera presentation about Julia Child, Lee Hoiby and the opera, followed by Q&A
