Uptown CampusHomero Lopez, a graduate of Tulane Law School, is the legal director and co-founder of Immigration Services and Legal Advocacy (ISLA). ISLA provides pro bono representation before the Immigration Courts in an effort to ensure the protection of detained immigrants’ due process rights. “What is Citizenship?” will discuss the different ways in which citizenship has been assigned and decided over time and how we may have a significant reshaping of what constitutes citizenship and who is and who isn't included, tying in the Insular Cases which may be challenged before SCOTUS this coming session.
