Join TU Outdoor Adventures for our first ever all-women backpacking trip in DeSoto National Forest! A common critique of outdoor recreation programs is that they are not accessible to marginalized communities, including women and people of color. This trip is designed as a wilderness retreat for all women and femme-identifying students. The goal of this trip is to allow women to explore backpacking and outdoor adventures in a safe and inclusive environment. Participants can expect to learn backpacking and basic outdoor living skills, push themselves physically during long days of hiking, and to engage in discussions about feminism and womanhood. Price includes leadership, transportation, food, and gear.
