Uptown CampusDigital privacy is a unique dilemma in the 21st century. While, it’s easy to find a list of tools to boost your digital privacy; it’s harder to evaluate and choose the right tools for your situation, then install and troubleshoot them. This informal workshop will offer attendees information and hands-on assistance with whatever privacy problems are top-of-mind. Available tools and topics include: virtual private networks (VPNs), password managers, secure messaging, and anonymous web browsing. Anticipated scenarios include border crossing, doxxing, vulnerable teaching situations, vulnerable research subjects, online dating and shopping. Your attendance will help the libraries develop a community of privacy practice and advocacy here at Tulane.
