Zine Your Thesis

Join us for a hands-on workshop where we’ll explore how zines—small, self-published booklets—can serve as a powerful tool for communicating academic ideas, fostering community engagement, and breaking down the barriers between scholarly work and public access.
In the first hour, we'll dive into the world of zines and discuss their unique role in academia. You’ll discover how zines can help make your research more approachable, engaging, and shareable, while also building a community around your work. For the last half hour, we’ll provide all the materials you need to create your very own zine.
This will be a hybrid workshop. If you would like to participate in the last half hour from home, you will need: 8.5"x11" paper, sissors, pens and markers, and any other decorative elements you like (e.g stickers, washi tape, glitter, ribbons, etc.)
