2-Cent Retrospective Media Screening & Talk

Join Newcomb Art Museum for a look back at the video shorts and media created by 2-CENT TV — the youth education social enterprise co-founded by Brandan BMike Odums that produced mixed-media content and events overlapping pop culture and social awareness. Celebrate the creativity and energy of this hip-hop-oriented, socially-minded, grassroots entertainment company and hear from the original team about where that energy is today.

This media screening and talk is presented in conjunction with N̶O̶T̶ Supposed 2-Be Here. This event is free and open to the public.

Still Beginning: The 30th Annual Day With(out) Art

For the thirtieth annual Day With(out) Art, Visual AIDS has partnered with museums, galleries, universities, and organizations around the world to present over 100 free screenings of STILL BEGINNING, a program of seven newly commissioned videos responding to the ongoing HIV/AIDS epidemic by Shanti Avirgan, Nguyen Tan Hoang, Carl George, Viva Ruiz, Iman Shervington, Jack Waters/Victor F.M. Torres, and Derrick Woods-Morrow.

Movie Night!

We will be showing two 55 minute episodes of Rx entitled Deadly Messengers and How Safe Are We. Pizza will be sold as fundraising for the Infectious Disease Journal Club.
