This ceremony will recognize the School of Medicine graduating Class of 2019. 

Graduate Diploma Ceremony

Friday, May 17th, 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., Fogelman Arena at Devlin Fieldhouse (corner of McAlister Place and Freret Street). Doors open for guests at 2 p.m.

Tickets are not required for graduating students or their guests. However, seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The ceremony will be simulcast in room 170 of the Goldring/Woldenberg Business Complex if guests would be more comfortable at that venue as well as for any overflow.

Undergraduate Diploma Ceremony

Friday, May 17th, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Fogelman Arena at Devlin Fieldhouse (corner of McAlister Place and Freret Street). Doors open for guests at 9 a.m.

Tickets are not required for graduating students or their guests. However, seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The ceremony will be simulcast in room 170 of the Goldring/Woldenberg Business Complex if guests would be more comfortable at that venue as well as for any overflow.

Grad Fest gives all graduating students the opportunity to get everything you will need for graduation, including cap & gown, Tulane Ring, graduation announcements, diploma frame, and more.

The 2019 SPHTM graduation ceremony will take place at the Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts (1419 Basin Street, New Orleans, LA 70116) on May 18th at 3:30pm. All graduating students MUST arrive by 2:00pm for check-in and robing.

Students and/or guests requiring special accommodations due to mobility difficulties should contact Lacey Allen (lallen8@tulane.edu) by Monday, May 6th.

Wave Goodbye is an annual party for graduates that is modeled after New Orleans' many springtime festivals. All graduates and their guests are invited to mingle on Gibson Quad on the uptown campus on Friday, May 17, 6-8 p.m. The event features local music and a variety of New Orleans food in small plates. Wine and beer will be available for purchase (cash only). Graduates are allotted seven tickets each, one of which the graduate will need to use to enter the party. Children 10 years and younger do not need tickets.

This ceremony will recognize Liberal Arts August and December 2018 graduates and May 2019 graduating seniors who are eligible to participate. (Diplomas will not be distributed at this ceremony, as graduates will receive diplomas via USPS delivery three to four weeks after commencement.) A post-ceremony reception will follow in the Superdome until 3:30pm approximately.
