Panhellenic Recruitment

Panhellenic Recruitment Week will take place on the following dates

January 4th-6th Work Week - Active chapter members will return to campus on January 4th. Potential new members (PNMs) will move-in early on campus on January 6th.

January 6th PNM Kickoff - Spring Scholar PNMs will attend a mandatory meet-n-greet in Pocket Park from 4:30-5:30pm with their Recruitment Counselors. Afterwards, all PNMs will attend Kickoff in McAlister Auditorium from 6-7:30 with small group breakouts across campus afterwards until 8:30pm.

January 7th-8th - Open House

The Green Bandana Project Workshop

The Green Bandana Project is a program for students that raises mental health awareness, reduces stigma, and connects students to mental health and suicide prevention resources. Join our team by completing a short training workshop, carrying resource cards, and tying a green bandana to your backpack or another visible location as a way to let your peers know that you are a trusted person who knows how and where to reach out for help.

Success Workshops

Come learn about key information to help you succeed at Tulane! Through of series of presentations with Tulane staff and faculty, you will hear helpful tips on what you should know before classes start. 

The Martin Luther King Jr Freedom and Justice Awards Brunch

Please join the Office of Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion, along with the Carolyn Barber-Pierre Center for Intercultural Life, Office of Multicultural Affairs, Office for Gender and Sexual Diversity, Newcomb Institute, and more at The Martin Luther King Jr Freedom and Justice Awards Brunch on January 31, 2025 from 10am-12:00pm to hear from New Orleans Civil Rights Legend and Founder/Executive Director of the Leona Tate Foundation for Change, Leona Tate, to celebrate the message of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr themed around the poem "I, Too, Sing America," by Langston Hughes. 

Coffee & Conversation: Black History Month

Join OISS for Coffee & Conversation! This event series is designed to provide you with a relaxed environment to have themed conversations to learn more about New Orleans culture, U.S. culture, and global cultures. Free coffee is provided. All are welcome! The events are held at the OISS office at 6901 Willow St. When you enter the building, enter the conference room on the left across from the front desk! Join us this week for a conversation about Black History Month!

Families of new Spring Scholar and Transfer students, let your student continue settling in while you join us to mingle with other parents and enjoy light refreshments. Senior administrators and staff in key departments will be available to chat, answer questions, and help you get to know Tulane. Mollye Demosthenidy, Dean of Newcomb-Tulane College, and Sarah Cunningham, Vice President for Student Affairs, will offer a special welcome. Come as you are; casual dress is fine.
