American filmmaker Ken Burns will be coming to Tulane’s campus on Friday, March 29, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the Kendall Cram Ballroom in Tulane’s LBC. The event will be moderated by Tulane professor of history Walter Isaacson, and they will have a conversation about the people and events that molded our history, as well as watch a retrospect from Burns’s groundbreaking historical documentaries.

On February 1, Rare Books will offer the chance to see Tulane's three volumes of Audubon's Birds of America, on display in Room 603. Turn the pages and learn more about the printing feats that made these double elephant folios possible. Rare Books librarians will be on hand to discuss the books' historical background and cultural significance and to provide more information about Tulane's Rare Book collection. Open to all.
The Middle American Research Institute invites you to join us February 14-17, 2019, at Tulane University and the New Orleans Museum of Art to learn of the recent developments in Maya studies as they relate to the broader topic of collapse. Our great line-up of speakers and workshops will address the issue of political decline over the span of ancient Maya prehistory!
