There will be a political science seminar on April 26th entitled "The Imprisoner’s Dilemma: A study of Defection and Deflection following Political Arrests." The speaker will be Christopher Sullivan from Louisiana State University.

On February 22 from 4:00-6:00 pm at the Greenleaf Conference Room in the LBC, Sara Niedzwiecki from UC Santa Cruz will deliver her seminar entitled: “Uneven Social Policies: The Politics of Subnational Variation in Latin America”
On February 8, from 4:00-6:00pm at the Greenleaf Room at the LBC, Jessica Rich from Marquette University will give a CIPR seminar entitled: "State-Sponsored Activism: Bureaucrats and Social Movements in Democratic Brazil"
On February 7, Henry Thomson from Arizona State University will lead a political science seminar in 313 Norman Mayer Building from 4:00-6:00 pm, entitled: “Watching the Watchers: Controlling the Secret Police and Maintaining Authoritarian Rule in Socialist Central and Eastern Europe”
On January 25 from 2:00-4:00 pm, Iza Ding of the University of Pittsburgh will lead a political science seminar at the Norman Mayer Building in room 313 entitled “The Performative State: Public Opinion, Political Pageantry, and Environmental Governance in China”
On January 23 from 12:00-1:30 pm Matt Ferchen from the China and the Developing World Program at the Carnegie-Tsinghua Center will deliver a CIPR Seminar in the LBC's Greenleaf Room entitled: “China’s Belt and Road Initiative in Latin America: New Wine in Old Bottles?”
