For the first time since starting Newcomb Art Museum's monthly Tiffany Window tours, we’ll be exploring in detail the #TiffanyWindows on the other side of campus! This special virtual tour will look at the “Art” and “Literature” windows located in Tilton Memorial and their place within the illustrious career of Louis Comfort Tiffany.

About this tour: In 1901, as the Tilton Memorial Library was being built on Tulane University’s campus, Caroline Stannard Tilton commissioned Tiffany Studios for the design and creation of two memorial stained-glass windows to be placed in the building. Today, these windows – “Art” and “Literature” – stand as the best examples of secular windows within the Newcomb Art Museum collection. Remarkably, they have remained in their original location to this day, owing to their good condition.

Learn more about these incredible #TulaneTreasures this Thursday at noon when the Newcomb Art Museum drops a brand new video tour led by Tom Friel, the museum’s Coordinator for Interpretation & Public Engagement, on their Facebook and Website.
