Going Back to College Series: How Can My Resume & Cover Letter Tell My Best Career Story?

In keeping with SoPA’s mission to bring quality education to working professionals in our New Orleans community, “Going Back to College” virtual sessions will provide relevant content to people considering attending college as an undergraduate, whether for the first time or to complete a degree.  These 30-minute sessions will offer knowledge and tips applicable to college-level coursework for both younger and more experienced adults considering college. In this session, we will discuss what a good resume and cover letter can do for you, how to adapt your resume for specific jobs and industries, and how you can best describe and present your skills from working in retail or hospitality. This session will be led by SoPA Senior Career Advisor, Cynthia Washington, and Assistant Dean, Vanessa Rodriguez.
